People usually think of games like sports or conflicts like war as primarily dichotomous. People usually view conflict as two sided. However, in order to prevent the two sides from Annihilating each other, Arbitration is essential. So essentially there are actually three players in things like sporting matches. The two teams, and the referee is the 3rd player in the game. The referee is the Arbiter. They stabilize the game. In a more functional system of checks and balances, any one of the three branches can act as an arbiter between the other two in disagreements. It is a stable arrangement. The perfect arrangement of a power structure. I hypothesize that this is one of the possible reasons for the concept of the holy trinity and how God arranges himself to Arbitrate himself so he can govern a truly infinite existence.    Overregulation by the government or ruling power not only chokes liberty, it chokes progress. If you hyperregulate everything, it is a lot harder to maintain a consistent and continuous pace of technological and social progress and innovation       This happens because of the sweeping generalizations done by lawmakers and policymakers who often, either collectively as a group or individually, do not understand the complexities and depth of the situation they are trying to address or problem they are trying to solve.         As a result, the policies they make and the regulations they try to implement are too simplistic for the complex problem and as a result have unintended consequences that can easily make things worse.        Overregulation chokes progress because of the extreme slowing down of the innovation process that intelligent individuals and groups attempt to use to achieve wondrous and beautiful advancements. So I've talked a lot about cyclical hierarchies before, like rock paper scissors hierarchies or the holy trinity or the system of checks and balances. These systems have three points on the hierarchy, with each point being equal to the others in terms of power and authority, but given authority over one another in a cyclical manner (paper beats rock, rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper).        I want to make this system even more complex. Since a triangle is the simplest circle in a sense, lets make the rock paper scissors system with many more points than just three. A true cyclical hierarchy. A halo hierarchy, where the same system of power is applied to 8, 19, 47, 65, etc points of power that follow the same power system as rock paper scissors. What makes a human life valuable? This is an extremely important question for the stability of a nation and the prevention of murder and killing. There are many reasons human life is valuable. Many philosophical reasons. Many ethical reasons. Many moral reasons. Many economic reasons.       Let's start with the philosophy of the mind and consciousness. A human being is a receiver of an external existence and the projector of an internal one. If the receiver wasn't there, then to that individual the external world wouldn't be there either, for all intents and purposes. Neither would the internal world. What I mean by this is that human consciousness is a world in its own right, being made up of a unique reality filled with unique beliefs and experiences that make up that person's individuality and identity.        By this definition of human consciousness, when you kill a human being, you are killing an entire world. What believe structures your reality and provides the foundation of your existence. Your mind is both what projects your reality to the external world and what provides the mental construct of your internal world. The mind and the imagination are the core components of your entire existence.       The primary part of your mind that deals with reality is your belief system. Your belief system is the foundation of how you view the world, the universe or existence. Now some beliefs run the risk of being incorrect. That's unavoidable. Because of uncertainty, it is very difficult to validate or invalidate beliefs outside of the immediate field of awareness of an individual.      Even with this uncertainty, belief systems are absolutely essential and a prerequisite for a rewarding and purposeful conscious experience of a person, human or otherwise.      The bigger and more complex the belief system, the more rewarding a person's experience is.     Hierarchies are an unavoidable part of existence. Hierarchies form naturally in every system, whether that be human systems, technological systems, or biological systems such as the food chain or how pack animals operate to hunt and kill their prey. Even in inanimate physical systems have hierarchies arranged based on the laws of physics such as gravity, the strong and weak force, and electromagnetism and others.                I would like to propose another hypothetical hierarchy; the hierarchy of consciousness aside from and including human beings. Since I do in fact believe their is an infinitely potent creator of a power and scope with an infinitely complex mind unfathomable to most humans, lets just start there. That is the pinnacle. Consciousness is a fascinating thing. It's a wondrous thing. It is one of the most mysterious and important components of reality. Humans, as far as we know, have the most advanced brains of the animal kingdom. Even so, that statement doesn't delegitimize the consciousness of other organisms. Within individual humans, most people usually have one conscious awareness, or one personality. At least I think this is the case. I'm not sure, though. Their brain network in a sense bears host to just one consciousness. However, I believe you can partition consciousness within a single network (brain) and form two destinct consciousnesses within the framework of one human body and one human brain. If both consciousnesses are fully functional, there could be distinct advantages in doing so. You could have a learning dialogue within the mind between the two distinct consciousnesses. This can help a person learn quicker and develop more complex thought more easily. ...
