The Hierarchy of Consciousness
Hierarchies are an unavoidable part of existence. Hierarchies form naturally in every system, whether that be human systems, technological systems, or biological systems such as the food chain or how pack animals operate to hunt and kill their prey. Even in inanimate physical systems have hierarchies arranged based on the laws of physics such as gravity, the strong and weak force, and electromagnetism and others.
I would like to propose another hypothetical hierarchy; the hierarchy of consciousness aside from and including human beings. Since I do in fact believe their is an infinitely potent creator of a power and scope with an infinitely complex mind unfathomable to most humans, lets just start there. That is the pinnacle. This creator "sits on the throne" in both a literal and metaphorical sense.
Now this creator could have easily created a second echelon of consciousness. For the sake simplicity and not getting into too much religious dogma pertaining to any particular faith, I am not going label each echelon or branch of this hierarchy because honestly I have no idea what they are called aside from the few speculations I've read by Catholic and Christian theologians.
The hierarchy itself I believe is much bigger than the Christian theologians have hypothesized. If the Creator created an infinite existence, it would kind of have to be. What I do believe is that the closer to the "throne" the echelon is, the less members of that echelon there are. The further down the hierarchy you get, the more numerous the membership is within each echelon.
I believe many of these consciousnesses on this hierarchy are immortal and undying. However, there are mortals, like humans, that reside in this hierarchy. Even so, humans have a component of us that is eternal as well and that component is the energy that forms the substance of our consciousness.
I will admit, I don't completely know where we fall on this hierarchy. I'm pretty sure there are entities beneath us. I'm also pretty sure there are some of us who inherit nothing in the broader existence. These people are the inheritors of death.
What I do know is that we are definitely not at the top of this hierarchy that's for sure. Some of those "conscious abstract ideas" I like to talk about a lot probably outrank us in their potency and immortality.
Have a good day everyone!
