Transcendence is the principle of the Beyond.

It is whatever:

exceeds a boundary,
surpasses a condition,
escapes a closure,
outgrows an identity,
penetrates beneath an appearance,
rises above a level,
crosses into another order,

or opens a horizon that the previous horizon could not contain.
